Organization fields for Vibgrate Evidence

What legal entity, main establishment, EU authorised representative, coordinator CSIRT, responsible person, filing authority, and out-of-hours contact mean — written for first-time users.

Why these fields exist

Regulators and competent authorities need to know who is accountable and where the organization is established. Vibgrate Evidence stores these once per repository (under your local evidence config) so exposure packs and readiness checks can fill the human-facing fields without retyping.

Legal entity name

The legal name of the company or organization that places the product on the market or provides the service — typically the name on contracts and filings, not a marketing brand alone.

Main establishment

Country of your main establishment for the selected framework, stored as an ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code (two letters), for example GB for the United Kingdom or DE for Germany.

In VS Code, the field is a country dropdown (for example United Kingdom (GB)) and prefills from your system locale when possible. You can choose Other / custom… to type a code.

EU authorised representative

If your legal entity is outside the EU/EEA but you place products there, many product frameworks expect an EU authorised representative. Leave blank when it does not apply.

  • EU = European Union
  • EEA = European Economic Area

Coordinator / national CSIRT

CSIRT means Computer Security Incident Response Team — often your national cybersecurity centre or the body you notify for incident or vulnerability reporting. Pick a common option or enter your own under Other / custom….

Responsible person and filing authority

A responsible person is the named individual accountable for coordination and filings. Filing authority means that person may submit notifications on behalf of the organization. Mark the checkbox only when that is true.

Role (optional) is their job title or function.

Out-of-hours contact

Optional phone or contact channel for when a reporting clock runs outside business hours.
