Sign Out of Vibgrate Cloud with vg logout

Sign the Vibgrate CLI out of your workspace with vg logout, which clears the stored login credential. Local scans keep working; re-authenticate with vg login when needed.

vg logout signs the Vibgrate CLI out of your workspace by clearing the stored login credential. Run it on shared machines, when you finish a session, or when you want to switch accounts or rotate access cleanly.

Prerequisites

  • Vibgrate CLI installed
  • A prior vg login session

Steps

1. Check you are signed in

If you previously ran vg login, the CLI holds a stored credential it uses for uploads.

2. Run vg logout

vg logout

This clears the stored login credential from the machine.

3. Confirm the credential is cleared

With the credential cleared, push operations are no longer authenticated. Local scans still work because scanning does not require an account.

vg

A local scan continues to print a results table and DriftScore.

4. Re-authenticate later

When you want to push again, sign back in from the browser.

vg login

Verification

After vg logout, a subsequent vg push is no longer authenticated and local scans still run. Running vg login again restores the ability to push to Vibgrate Cloud.

Next Steps

  • Need to sign back in? Use the vg login tutorial.
  • Automating uploads instead of interactive login? Use a DSN token.
  • Curious what scanning sends? Review the privacy and security docs.
